Description
The coins honor Ornek, the traditional ornament of the Crimean Tatars, one of Ukraine’s Indigenous peoples, inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2021. The obverse depicts a Crimean Tatar embroiderer at her machine, with the ornament symbolizing the continuity of tradition.
